My name is Kieren Windsor and I am the founder of Wales Guidebook, a travel blog about Wales where I share my experiences and top travel tips from years living and travelling in Wales.

I am Welsh born and bred. I grew up in Newtown, Mid-Wales but during my twenties, I spent time living in both South Wales and North Wales. So, you can definitely say I’m a local.

As well as living here, I’ve extensively travelled across Wales too. In 2022, I embarked on a mission to visit every tourist attraction in the country, as covered by Wales Online.

My Goal

I created Wales Guidebook because I’m passionate about my home country and want to share everything that we have to offer.

Across this site, I’ll share other elements of the Welsh culture that make it unique. You’ll find articles about Welsh cuisine, the Welsh language, traditional Welsh songs and more.

Awards and Features

I’ve been featured in major Welsh news publication including Wales Online, the Daily Post, the County Times, North Wales Live, and more.

Within a year of launching Wales Guidebook, I was featured by Feedspot as one of the top Welsh travel blogs.

In 2023, I launched the Wales Guidebook app for Android and iPhone. The app aims to collate all of my best content and share it in an easy ad-free format along with self-guided walking tours.
