We've all heard of Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch (known locally as Llanfair Pwllfwyn or Llanfair P.G), the longest place name in Wales and the second longest in the world, only to be beaten by a town in New Zealand.
But on my travels across Wales, I've encountered many other places with long names, and I can almost guarantee that you won't be able to pronounce most of them. As a bit of fun, I've compiled this list for you using some open-source Ordnance Survey data.
Most of these ridiculously long names can be found in North and Mid-Wales with Powys being the county with the most places among the 30 longest.
