Do you fancy writing about the best activities where you live? How about sharing your favourite brekkie spots or reviewing the best afternoon teas in your area? This may be the job for you.

We’re looking for freelance writers to join our team. Here are some examples of the types of articles you’d be writing:

Requirements:

  • From Wales and/or living in Wales (see areas we’re recruiting below)
  • Experience writing, ideally online content
  • Passionate about sharing your local area
  • Willing to go out and do activities in your local area

This is a freelance role that pays per word, the starting rate is $30 per 1,000 words. We ask for a minimum of 2 articles per month but you can write as many as you like.

From time to time, we’d like you to go and try specific activities in your area to review them (visiting castles, sampling restaurants, etc). You’ll be compensated for your time and expenses will be covered too.

We’re currently looking for writers in the following areas:

  • Anglesey/Bangor
  • Wrexham
  • Cardiff
  • Powys

*If your area is not listed, feel free to apply as we may have more roles available in future.

If you’re interested in applying, please fill in the below application form and we’ll reach out if you seem like a good fit. You’ll be asked to submit a paid trial article and if it meets our high standards for quality and research, you could land a spot as an author for Wales Guidebook.

You can also contact us if you have any questions about these positions by emailing info@walesguidebook.com.
